Nothing in life gives more joy than grandchildren. Within the last eight weeks, Steve and I have been blessed with two precious grandchildren. Yes, two! Landon was our first and Leah followed quickly behind. Today I found this prayer and I offer it to grandparents everywhere. Thank you to the author, Barbie Kirk.
Lord, protect my grandchildren
each and every day
Protect them along life’s
fragile way.
Keep them from hatred
malice and strife
Bless them with understanding
and wisdom during life.
Lord, and give them knowledge
as they grow
And above all, please save
their soul!
Lord, richly bless them in
all they say and do
And help them to see the
love in you.
And as they get older
then they will see
That a prayer from their
grandparent has been
answered by thee.
